Song of the Day: Haven’t Met You Yet

Today’s song is Haven’t Met You Yet by Michael Bublé.

Pop-Rock / Swing
This track was on the radio a metric ton when I was a kid. It’s a fine song, and I’ve been feeling nostalgic lately.
I feel like this was the only major song from this album (sorry, but there can only be so many swing-based songs go big, I guess).

Talk myself in, I talk myself out.
I get all worked up then I let myself down.

Solid brass, great strings and the feel of the song is so ridiculous that it borders on silly. A bit of cheese never hurts.

Bublé’s work has always been either an excellent tone shift or not what I want to hear at the moment.
It’s usually a bit of a mix, but I suppose that is due to the genre and singing style.

As a side note, he has an excellent SNL skit with John Hamm. Figure you might enjoy it.
