Song of the Day: Hold On

Today’s song is Hold On by Wilson Phillips.

I’m a sucker for the vibe this one has. It’s supportive (without being too cheesy).
Sort of like a 90’s version of Annie’s Tomorrow.

Yeah, it’s sappy. Sue me. I like it.

I know that there is pain, but you hold on for one more day.

I like that it’s more empowering than simply saying that you have no control over your feelings.

When you really examine the lyrics it’s mostly just encouraging.
Phillips wrote the song about substance abuse (and that makes it’s appearance in Harold and Kumar that much more interesting).
It’s a nice track.
