Song of the Day: No Diggity

Today’s song is No Diggity by Blackstreet.

Wanted to showcase something popular.
When I say popular, I mean a track that bumped ‘The Macarena” off it’s top-spot.

This song was a huge staple of genre (and the late 90’s).
It’s fun R&B/Hip Hop with a dynamite hook, beautiful harmonies, a verse from Dr. Dre and a backing sample from the work of Bill Withers.
A ton to love here.

Giving ’em eargasms with my mellow accent.

Love the smoothness of this one. Each verse is so precise.

I feel so sorry that most younger generations were first introduced to this track because of Pitch Perfect.
Hearing a bunch of acapella singers give their rendition was unfortunate. I know it was meant to be awkward, but still.

Not trying to be a ‘purist’. That film series just got so popular (and I’m actually a fan of many of the people who made that series).
Sorry for the tangent, but it was on my mind when I decided to highlight this one.
