Song of the Day: Bring Me To Life
Today’s song is Bring Me To Life by Evanescence.
Nu metal/Alt-Rock.
A track that encapsulates that odd post-grunge era of the new millennium (complete with angst).
I get it. This song has become a meme, but damn is it satisfying to revisit.
How can you see into my eyes, like open doors, leading you down into my core
Piano. Violins. Heavy vocals. Electronic elements. Hard rock.
The melody is great, that call and response is solid and there is some wonderful instrumentation.
Those vocals are wonderful (and the lyrics are quite sweet when you look into them).
