Song of the Day: Jump in the Line

Today’s song is Jump in the Line by Harry Belafonte.

Calypso.
Yeah, we all know what this song is most famously used in
(“Sounds like Lydia got an “A” on the math test”).

I thoroughly enjoy the theme of this track.
It’s energetic, bursting with enjoyment and has a steady beat.

Jump in the line, rock your body in time. (Okay, I believe you).

The opening is so much fun. Gets you to sway right off the bat.

This song will have you thinking about Winona Rider lip-syncing this in midair while spectral football players jam on a stairwell. And that sentence is perfect.
