Song of the Day: All The Things She Said

Today’s song is All The Things She Said by Tatu.

A track from my childhood sung by a Russian group (didn’t know that).

I find it odd that controversy stems in historical records (about the lesbianism in the music video), but few discuss the actual track composition. That matters far more.

Being with you has opened my eyes
Could I ever believe such a perfect surprise?

I dig the chorus. The drums kick up and the guitar adds a lot, backing the vocals nicely.

The electronic layering is neat. Equally dating, but still works well for it.
Once the acoustic guitar jumps in, you notice how well-layered it is.
The tone is consistent and it all fits together nicely.
Seriously, those drums work well with the message, jumping in at the perfect time.
