Song of the Day: Home By Now

Today’s song is Home By Now by Muna.

Alt/Indie Pop.
I’ve come around on this track after paying more attention to this (excellent) album.
The drum pacing is great, you really feel for the vocals, and the synth is quite nice.

Have you ever heard about how when a person’s in a maze?
They will tend to walk in circles thinking they are going straight.
They can’t see the bigger picture so they get stuck in a loop.
In the end I was afraid that that’s what you and I would do.

I think of this as a nice driving/running song. It fits that theme nicely.

I’ve been growing into quite a large fan of MUNA recently, and think I have a bit of a weakness to them now.
Not all of their songs are fantastic, but I cannot deny the pleasant mood with this one.
Like I said, I came around on how much I appreciate this one. With more time, I’ve really come to enjoy this.
