Song of the Day: Forever

Today’s song is Forever by CHVRCHES.

Synth-pop by a Scottish band.

This is legitmately one of my favorite bands.
I’ve been enjoying their work since 2016.

Their work just hits that ‘melodic’ spot for me.
All of their songs have this emotion-fueled unpin to them that just speak to me.
Their first few albums were great (and I’m really looking forward to their 4th this fall).

What else should I say? What else could I do?
Maybe I am just too much for you.

This is the version they did over the 2020 COVID pandemic lockdown.
Here is the original audio from their third album.

Nothing against the original (which is more bombastic/electronic).
I just think this rendition has more ‘heart’ placed into it. Stripped-down. Heavier.

Just look at all of them giving their all to this performance.
Seriously, that guitar is beautiful. The whole song is.
