Song of the Day: Sister Golden Hair
Today’s song is Sister Golden Hair by America.
Folk Rock.
An extremely calm song that works well whenever you have to drive somewhere.
This track serves a mellow, reflective example of dealing with the thought of a loved one.
It’s soothing and has a bit of an energetic edge to it (particularly near the tail end).
but it doesn’t mean you ain’t been on my mind.
The lyrics give a swift kick to gut when you examine their meaning.
Yeah, this sound sounds like the 70’s. It works well in it’s favor.
The mild ‘surfer rock’ elements are interesting.
It feels as if it’s referencing back to the Beach Boys at certain points.
