Song of the Day: Hells Bells

Today’s song is Hells Bells by AC/DC.

Hard Rock.
Such an iconic opening that perfectly sets the tone of the song.

Musically, this track is pretty straightforward. Guitars (Lead, Rhythm & Base), Vocals and Drums.
Only extra element is the tolling of the bell, which is more for atmosphere than anything else.

The song sets a solid mood (and works as a solid hype song, therefore the use in sporting events).

I’m a rolling thunder, a pouring rain. I’m comin’ on like a hurricane.

Brian Johnson’s vocals just cut right through. It really sticks with you.

Love the drums on this track.
Most of the attention is on the lead guitar solos, but the secondary rhythm (that the track is most known for) is a wonderful through-line.
