Song of the Day: Without You

Today’s song is Without You by David Guetta.

Electropop.
Usher has a great voice, and it pairs well with this one.

Something about this track interests me. It isn’t like a standard ‘dance-hit’.
It has a more ethereal slow-burn that is more ‘catchy’ than something that demands your full attention.

If you’re not here, I’m paralyzed without you.

All of the backing instrumentation, like the piano and the strings, become noticeable on repeats.

Yeah, this track is already dated. Early 2010’s electronic pop.
Still, it serves as something strangely simplistic.
Didn’t have an endless build-up to a drop at the end or add too many warping elements.
Nothing spectacular, but a nice little time-capsule that highlights the tone of the genre at that time.
For that it deserves some recognition.
