Song of the Day: The Middle

Today’s song is The Middle by Jimmy Eat World.

Pop-punk/Alt-rock.
A childhood/teenage staple of anyone that grew up in the early 2000’s.

The opening hook makes this track instantly recognizable. Add in the drums/lyrics and you get a solid hit.

Hey, don’t write yourself off yet.
It’s only in your head, you feel left out.

Most may recognize this from Rock Band II. Those that do, I salute you.

There is a nice message to this song, even if it loops like mad.
Thankfully, the construction of this makes it easy to listen to on a loop without becoming too irritated.
I’m pretty sure my family heard me play this song a few dozen times, and I never heard any complaints.
That seems to be a good sign.
