Song of the Day: Jessie’s Girl

Today’s song is Jessie’s Girl by Rick Springfield.

Pop Rock.
Extremely well-known. The composition/sound of it is a bit timeless, really. You’ll notice how straightforward it is.

Also, it’s likely that this will remind you of Hot Tub Time Machine. Makes sense that it would.

But lately something’s changed that ain’t hard to define.
Jessie’s got himself a girl and I want to make her mine.

It’s extremely memorable, catchy and the pacing is excellent. Fun to sing along and listen to.

Highlighting a well-known track like this is a bit redundant, but this is more for documentation purposes.
Liking a popular song doesn’t make it any less enjoyable. That, and this song is over 40 years old.
It won’t stay relevant for forever, but I think that it still has legs.
