Song of the Day: How To Save A Life

Today’s song is How To Save A Life by The Fray.

Alt-Rock/Pop Rock.
This song is steeped in a mid-2000’s feel.
It is arguably the most recognizable track by this group (and for good reason).

I’m a fan of the building piano, especially as the lyrics grow heavier.

Between the lines of fear and blame you begin to wonder why you came.

Most draw parallels to the bands like Keane or Coldplay. It makes sense due to the era/sound.

Some don’t care for this track and I can understand why. Its repetitive and a bit too ‘melancholic-rock’.
Still, I’m a fan of the drums and the heavy emphasis on the piano.
The lyrics are solid (and tell a story). It makes sense why they named the album after this track.
