Song of the Day: You Found Me

Today’s song is You Found Me by The Fray.

Alternative Rock.
Yeah, this track has a HEAVY late-2000’s feel that basically hits you over the head.
The Fray always felt far too similar to the sound of Coldplay, which I can’t help but agree.
All that being said, I still enjoy several aspects of this song.

Why’d you have to wait?
Where were you? Where were you?
Just a little late.

This track hits more from nostalgia (and guilty pleasure) than pure enjoyment. Still, I think there are some good points.

Note the haunting piano build (that blends well with they lyric’s rising intensity).
Pair that with the way the guitars & drums jump around the pace for emphasis.
This song feels a bit like a time-capsule for a dreary era, and for that reason, I wanted to highlight it.
