Song of the Day: Breathless

Today’s song is Breathless by The Coors.

Pop-Rock.
An Irish band made this track. Once hearing that, I discovered the Celtic influences and that made me smile.
It also has this sort of ‘yodel’ sound going on that I find rather fun.

I’m happy just to have you.
You’re all the love I need somehow.

Yes, this is an old track that shows it’s age, but I still enjoy the ‘Blondie-like’ chorus.

Caroline Polachek has a version of this song (from 2020).
Hearing it with a contemporary sound makes the concept of the track stand out.
Maybe it is the strength of Polacheck’s sound decisions that makes it all stand out, but I dig this cover.
Maybe you will too.
